25. Interviews Part 2

Have I mentioned that I've so stressed out recently and feel like crying all the time. I feel really shitty for having been so unproductive all Easter, and honestly it's eating away at my morale.

On to part 2 of the survey results!
I'll list each track, and its results, and then what I interpret from it. (this post got really long so I've split it into two posts

1.1 Interior, group of children singing 'London Bridge' - 1981 (3C8, reprocessed)
There were a few participants who reacted badly to this clip, calling it creepy, with only one person thinking it made them feel a strongly positive feeling. 7 participants think it makes them recollect a memory, but only one participant would want to listen to more of this clip. The word "creepy" popped up frequently when people were asked to describe how this clip made them feel. I think the echo-ey nature of the clip and the fact that the recording is a little dated contributed to this "creepy" feeling.

1.2 ASMR Lullabies for Tingles & Relaxation ~ Softly Singing You to Sleep
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWQvqp4vHGg
The responses to this clip were more on the positive side, and only 4 respondents out of 14 didn't really want to continue listening to more of the clip. Would conclude that this clip gives off an overall "comforting" feeling.

1.3 ASMR Towel + Humming ~ Immersive Fabric Sounds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ou6zkhw6ZUk
One of the clips that had a very positive response. Interestingly most participants interpreted the sound as "waves", which is fine because it's not a test of them discerning sounds, but just how it makes them feel.

2.1 A Date with Markiplier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyU_1JD2wuA
This clip had very mixed responses. Some respondents recognised Markiplier's voice pretty quickly, and reacted positively. Others found the fast pace and loud inhalation noises annoying, confusing, or made them think of drug use (? it's not). Would not use this clip or anything similar in my exhibit.

2.2 Magic Chocolate Lava Cake by ANN REARDON HowToCookThat
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SCMs-xIu2U
A somewhat positive range of responses. Respondents mostly felt neutral, and didn't strongly like or dislike this clip.

2.3 New 8-Letter DNA Rewrites the Genetic Code | SciShow News
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-nmB-r6Eug
Somewhat positive responses, many respondents said it made them recall learning, and science.
